NWAandthePosse

N.W.A. and the Posse was released as a compilation album On November 6, 1987, re-releasing N.W.A. and associated groups' underground rap songs from the Los Angeles area's rap scene. Macola Records, the hip hop scene's main distributor at the time, released the Posse album. It is regarded as the first but under-appreciated album by N.W.A. The Posse was originally not N.wha's intended album release, but it was later released by a different record label months later.

Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Arabian Prince, and DJ Yella were all members of the N.W.A at the time and contributed six of the album's eleven tracks. Four of the songs are by the Fila Fresh Crew, a rap group that includes Doc-T. Microphone Mike, later known as Myka 9, and Rappinstine, a traveling faction of the DJ crew World Class Wreckin' Cru, collaborate on one track.
